‘Awrach’ Program Intends to Provide Immediate Responses to Citizens Affected by Pandemic – Head of Govt. –

The “Awrach” program aims to provide immediate responses to citizens affected by the repercussions of the pandemic of the novel coronavirus (Covid-19) through the creation of 250,000 direct jobs between 2022 and 2023, as part of general temporary large-scale projects, said Thursday, the Head of Government, Aziz Akhannouch. Speaking at the opening of the Council of Government, held by video conference, Akhannouch stressed that the program “Awrach” is a social and development project that reflects the High Royal Solicitude towards the human element, which is both the foundation and the purpose of development initiatives, especially in light of the difficult circumstances of the pandemic. Reporting Akhannouch’s remarks, a statement issued by Delegate-Ministry in charge of Relations with Parliament, Government Spokesman, said that “Awrach” is one of the pillars of the ten commitments contained in the government program. The Head of Government also indicated that this program, for which the Executive has allocated a budget of 2.25 billion dirhams in 2022, will be carried out in partnership with ministerial departments, public institutions, local authorities, civil society and local cooperatives, as well as private companies.
