Morocco, under HM the King’s Leadership, Willing to Engage in International Mobilization to End Tragic, Dangerous Situation in Gaza – FM

The Kingdom of Morocco, under the leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist Him, remains committed to the option of peace and the importance of achieving stability, prosperity, and progress for all peoples, stated the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccan Expatriates, Nasser Bourita, on Saturday in Cairo. He emphasized the readiness of the Kingdom, in coordination with all partners, to engage in international mobilization to end the tragic and dangerous situation in Gaza. The Kingdom of Morocco, under the guidance of His Majesty the King, President of the Al Quds Committee, wishes for this summit to convey five main messages to the international community, Bourita indicated in a speech delivered on the occasion of the Peace Summit. The first message is a call to reduce escalation, cease the shedding of blood and military aggressions, and spare the region the horrors of a conflict that risks obliterating any remaining chances for peace and stability. Bourita continued to explain that the second message focuses on the pressing need to protect civilians and not target them, in accordance with the principles of international law, international humanitarian law, and common human values. The third message concerns the obligation to facilitate the rapid and smooth delivery of humanitarian aid in sufficient quantities to the benefit of the inhabitants of the Gaza Strip. The fourth message pertains to rejecting all solutions and ideas aimed at displacing or deporting Palestinians from their territory and endangering the security of neighboring countries, he stated. The fifth message, the minister concluded, relates to the imperative of launching a genuine peace process leading to a two-state solution, with a Palestinian state within the borders of June 4, 1967, with East Al-Quds as its capital, living side by side with the State of Israel. The Peace Summit proceedings began on Saturday morning in the New Administrative Capital near Cairo. His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist him, is represented at this summit by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccan Expatriates, Nasser Bourita. This summit involves the participation of 30 countries, the United Nations, and three regional organizations, in a joint effort to reduce escalation in Gaza, protect civilians, open security corridors, and allow the entry of humanitarian aid.
