House of Representatives, Slovenia’s National Assembly Committed to Strengthening Bilateral and Multilateral Cooperation
The House of Representatives and the National Assembly of Slovenia are determined to strengthen their cooperation on bilateral and multilateral levels, Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rachid Talbi Alami, said on Monday. Following talks in Ljubljana with Urška Klakočar Zupančič, Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Slovenia, Mr. Alami said he had discussed several topics of common interest, in particular renewable energies, human trafficking, and security in the Mediterranean region, with his Slovene counterpart and during his meeting with the Chair of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the National Assembly. “The political stability of states and the defense of their territorial integrity as a universal principle were also on the agenda, as was support for all efforts to promote peace and the rejection of all forms of political violence and wars affecting a number of regions on an international scale,” he added. Mr. Alami also pointed out that his visit to Slovenia was part of the implementation of the MoU signed between the two legislative institutions in November 2022 and of the joint declaration signed in Rabat last June by the foreign ministers of the two countries. The Speaker of the House of Representatives was accompanied by the Ambassador of Morocco to Slovenia, residing in Vienna, Azzeddine Farhane.
