HM the King Congratulates Morocco’s National Team, Runners-Up of Africa Cup of Nations
Rabat – His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist Him, has sent a congratulatory message to the Moroccan national football team, runners-up of the Africa Cup of Nations (Morocco 2025).
In this message, HM the King expresses His warmest congratulations to the players, coaches and technical, medical and administrative staff, as well as to the Royal Moroccan Football Federation officials for the honorable continental triumph. “Through this distinguished campaign, you have demonstrated that perseverance, dedication, and team spirit are the keys to achieving excellence. You have also shown the world what Moroccan and African youth can accomplish when they believe in their talents and abilities,” the Sovereign emphasized. “You also proved, through determination and your heroic and honorable performance, the importance of my strategic vision to invest in human capital and modernize the Kingdom’s infrastructure, which demonstrated their resilience and their world-class level of preparation ahead of the organization of the 2030 World Cup,” HM the King adds. “As much as I consider staging this prestigious championship in our country—with its high-quality organization and warm hospitality rooted in the noble and time-honored values of our Moroccan Nation— as a brilliant sporting accomplishment, I also view it as a message of hope and confidence from Morocco to the continent, which confirms that African talent is capable of excelling and innovating in all fields,” HM the King affirms in this message. Hailing, with great regard, Moroccan sports enthusiasts who have supported the national team throughout this tournament with full confidence in all its components, HM the King calls on the team members to continue their efforts to achieve further accomplishments and honor Moroccan football in various international football events, assuring them of His High regard and care.
