GOTION High-Tech Official Hails HM the King’s Vision on Renewable Energy
The Chairman of the Sino-European GOTION High-Tech Group, Li Zhen, on Wednesday in Marrakech, welcomed the royal vision of HM King Mohammed VI on renewable energy, which is the pillar of the Kingdom’s energy strategy. In a speech delivered at the signing ceremony of a memorandum of understanding for the construction of the 1st African Gigafactory in Morocco, in the presence of Prime Minister Aziz Akhannouch, the Chinese official hailed the Kingdom’s efforts to promote energy transition and renewable energy under the enlightened leadership of HM King Mohammed VI. Li expressed the willingness of the Sino-European group GOTION High-Tech to support the renewable energy sector in Morocco (wind, solar, hydroelectric, etc.), noting that Morocco has significant resources in this field that should be properly developed. He also noted that this project, which aims to create an industrial ecosystem for the production of batteries for electric vehicles and energy storage systems in Morocco, is “the fruit of the tireless efforts of Chinese and Moroccan teams.”
