Guinea’s Consul General Soriba Camara Installed in Dakhla

The installation ceremony of the Consul General of the Republic of Guinea in Dakhla, Soriba Camara, took place on Monday in the presence of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Integration and Guineans Living Abroad, Morissanda Kouyaté. The ceremony took place on the sidelines of the 7th Morocco-Guinea Joint Cooperation Commission, co-chaired by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates, Nasser Bourita, and his Guinean counterpart, Morissanda Kouyaté. Eight cooperation agreements and conventions covering a wide range of areas were signed during the session. The Republic of Guinea had opened its Consulate General in Dakhla in 2020. The opening of a consulate of the Republic of Guinea in Dakhla reflects the solid and distinguished nature of the historical relations between the two countries, which were given a strong boost by the visits of His Majesty King Mohammed VI to Conakry in 2014 and 2017. The ceremony was attended by the Wali of the Dakhla-Oued Eddahab region and Governor of the Oued Eddahab province, Lamine Benomar, the President of the Dakhla-Oued Eddahab regional council, El Khattat Yanja, elected officials and Guinean nationals living in Dakhla.
