Upper House Speaker Emphasizes Parliamentary Cooperation’s Significance in Enhancing Morocco-Kazakhstan Relations

House of Councillors’ Speaker, Enaam Mayara, emphasized Friday in Rabat the significance of parliamentary cooperation in enhancing bilateral relations between Morocco and Kazakhstan, through economic and commercial programs as well as partnerships that benefit both countries. During a meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Morocco, Saulekul Sailaukyzy, Mayara expressed the House of Councillors’ readiness to support the development of these relations, given its composition and focus on economic and social activities, according to  a press release by the Upper House. The meeting further reinforces the strong fraternal ties between the two countries, and the establishment of Kazakhstan’s embassy in Rabat in December 2020 stands as a significant milestone in this esteemed journey of cooperation and friendship, Mayara stressed. The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Morocco expressed her appreciation for the Kingdom, acknowledging it as a true partner for her country. She emphasized the importance of strengthening trade and economic relations between the two nations, and giving them new impetus, in order to elevate them to the level of their esteemed political relations. Sailaukyzy highlighted the vast potential both countries possess, particularly in areas such as energy, agriculture, transport, and tourism, which she believes should be further developed for mutual benefit, adds the same source. The ambassador also commended Morocco’s firm stance against the desecration of the Holy Koran and hate speech. She welcomed the Kingdom’s resolution, unanimously adopted by the 193-member United Nations General Assembly, as a testament to Morocco’s commitment to promoting peace, tolerance, and interfaith and intercultural dialogue on both regional and global levels.
