Germany Hails Morocco’s ‘Impressive’ Post-Quake Reconstruction Efforts

German State Secretary in the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, Jochen Flasbarth, on Thursday hailed Morocco’s “impressive” efforts to coordinate reconstruction efforts following the earthquake that struck several regions of the Kingdom. “It is impressive to see how the government and other stakeholders are working to coordinate the reconstruction efforts that will be carried out in the coming months,” Flasbarth told MAP following his talks with Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates, Nasser Bourita. The German official, who was accompanied by a large delegation, also expressed his country’s desire to provide assistance following this painful ordeal. Flasbarth welcomed, on this occasion, the fruitful exchanges he had with Bourita, stressing that his visit to the Kingdom was an opportunity to express Germany’s solidarity and support in these difficult circumstances.
