Lavrov Highlights Concrete Results of His Talks with Bourita, Russian-Arab Cooperation Forum
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said, Wednesday in Marrakech, that his talks with Morocco’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccan Expatriates, Nasser Bourita, as well as the 6th Russian-Arab Cooperation Forum led to concrete results. Speaking at a joint press briefing with Bourita at the end of the 6th Russian-Arab Cooperation Forum, Lavrov noted that his talks with Bourita were “very interesting” as emphasis was on the implementation of the agreements concluded during the Summit between HM King Mohammed VI and HE Russian President Vladimir Putin. He added that these talks were also an opportunity to examine the modalities for the “implementation of the Declaration of Strategic Partnership of 2002, and the Declaration of Deep Strategic Partnership of 2016”. Lavrov also underlined that both parties discussed the means to implement their bilateral partnership in the areas of investment, trade, economy, energy, IT, nuclear energy for peaceful purposes, fisheries, agriculture, culture and education. The head of Russian diplomacy noted that the two parties agreed to hold the joint intergovernmental Commission for economic, scientific and technical cooperation early next year.
