Morocco, Jordan to Promote Joint Parliamentary Cooperation

Speaker of the House of Councilors, Enaam Mayara, held, here Wednesday, talks with Speaker of the Jordanian Senate, Faisal Al-Fayez, on a working visit to Morocco to take part in the Parliamentary Conference on South-South Cooperation (February 15-16). During these talks, both parties examined ways to further consolidate bilateral cooperation between the Kingdom of Morocco and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, in the light of their strong brotherly and friendly relations, open to promising prospects thanks to the High Solicitude of the two Heads of State, His Majesty King Mohammed VI and His Majesty King Abdullah II, the Upper House said in a press release. In this regard, Mayara and Al-Fayez expressed their willingness to strengthen joint parliamentary action and to take all necessary initiatives to further promote bilateral relations and step up cooperation and exchange of experience and expertise between the two countries in all fields, notably agriculture, industry, tourism, employment and vocational training. The meeting was also an opportunity for the Jordanian side to express their admiration for the development vision of the Kingdom’s Southern Provinces and the significant efforts made by the State to provide employment opportunities, basic services, infrastructure and other achievements that reinforce and support Morocco’s historical legitimacy in these provinces, the same source concluded.
