Spanish PM’s Visit to Morocco, New Illustration of Mutual Trust – Cameroonian Expert –

The working visit of the President of the Spanish Government, Pedro Sanchez, to Morocco is a new illustration of the mutual trust between the two countries and their will to take up common challenges, researcher at the University of Yaoundé, Alphonse Zozime Tamekamta, said.    This visit is an opportunity to consolidate the high-level strategic partnership between the two countries in different areas, including the management of migratory flows, economy and security, Tamekamta told MAP.    It also embodies a vision built on shared ideals of mutual respect and trust as well as cooperation marked by forthrightness and loyalty, he added.    Sanchez’s visit was also an opportunity to highlight “the geopolitical victory” of the tripartite organization of the 2030 FIFA World Cup by Morocco, Spain and Portugal, the Cameroonian academic noted.    The President of the Spanish Government on Wednesday paid a working visit to Morocco, marked by the audience granted to him by HM King Mohammed VI.    Sanchez’s visit to Morocco follows on from the new stage in bilateral relations, initiated by the meeting between HM the King and the President of the Spanish Government in April 2022, and the adoption, on that occasion, of the Joint Declaration between the two countries.
