Morocco, Chad Agree to Further Strengthen Bilateral Partnership in All Areas
Morocco and Chad have agreed “to further strengthen their partnership, placed under the banner of South-South cooperation”, said the joint Communiqué signed by Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates, Nasser Bourita, and Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Integration, Chadians Abroad and International Cooperation, Government Spokesman, Abderaman Koulamallah, following their meeting on Wednesday in Dakhla. The two ministers also expressed the desire of both countries to boost economic exchanges, underlining the important role of the private sector in this respect. The meeting also saw the signing of several agreements, notably on the avoidance of double taxation, cooperation in higher education, scientific research and innovation, technical cooperation in civil aviation, cooperation in forestry, and the mutual recognition of driving licences. In addition, the two ministers agreed to hold the 2nd Session of the Moroccan-Chadian joint Cooperation Commission in Dakhla in the first half of 2025.
