Al-Haouz Quake: Govt. Head Chairs 11th Meeting of Inter-Ministerial Commission in Charge of Reconstruction-Rehabilitation Program
Head of Government Aziz Akhannouch chaired, here Monday, the 11th meeting of the inter-ministerial commission in charge of the reconstruction and rehabilitation program for disaster areas following the Al-Haouz earthquake. This meeting noted a significant progress in implementing this program in all sectors, in accordance with the High Instructions of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, according to a press release from the Head of Government’s department. During this meeting, Akhannouch highlighted the enlightened directives of His Majesty the King thanks to which the Kingdom managed to deal quickly and effectively with the repercussions of this natural disaster. He also hailed the general mobilization as well as the positive and continuous pace of sectoral interventions in implementation of the High Royal Directives, stressing that the government continues with the same dynamism and commitment to implement the various projects aimed at reconstructing damaged houses and rehabilitating affected infrastructure. The committee stressed that the State has provided all the conditions to facilitate the efficient and quick reconstruction and rehabilitation of damaged houses, through the financial support to families and the issuance of reconstruction permits and free technical support. The inter-ministerial commission in charge of the reconstruction and rehabilitation program for the quake-affected areas expressed its commitment to continue its action according to the same approach, based on a model governance, made of speed, efficiency and precision, in order to establish this program as a model of integrated and balanced territorial development, in implementation of the High Directives of HM King Mohammed VI, during the working sessions chaired by the Sovereign on September 9 and 14, 2023.
