Mr. Hammouchi Continues Working Visit to UAE
Director General of National Security (DGSN) and Territorial Surveillance (DGST), Mr. Abdellatif Hammouchi, is continuing his working visit to the United Arab Emirates, held on September 23-26. Visit Agenda: Criminal Security and Smart Patrols On the third day of his visit, Mr. Hammouchi paid a visit to the Criminal Security Sector of the Abu Dhabi Police, which oversees the management of criminal investigations and inquiries, the supervision of anti-drug trafficking directorate and the management of public transport security and special patrols. During this visit, he was briefed on the management of special patrols and various new mobile vehicles used in the management of public safety and the criminal police. He also attended professional presentations from all security units working in the field of criminal investigation. A model of “smart patrols” was also presented. It consists of four-wheel-drive vehicles connected to all security databases and equipped with the most sophisticated technological and computer applications, which have been recently mobilized by the General Command to guarantee the safety of people and property. In addition, DGSN-DGST Director General and the Director of the Criminal Security Sector of the General Command of the Abu Dhabi Police discussed cooperation mechanisms in the fields of criminal security and judicial police, as well as ways of exchanging common experiences to enhance the action of special patrols and criminal investigation teams, particularly in the context of new challenges raised by the unbridled evolution of the criminal modus operandi. The Director General of National Security (DGSN) and Territorial Surveillance (DGST) attends a simulation exercise conducted by the elite forces of the Special Missions Sector of the Abu Dhabi Police. Special Missions Department: Special Forces Demonstrations The Director General of National Security and Territorial Surveillance visited the Special Missions Department of the Abu Dhabi Police General Command, which oversees the security of sensitive institutions, official missions, VIP protection, riot control, and private security operations. The department’s director provided explanations on the operations of the units and special forces under its command, showcasing their equipment, vehicles, and the mobile operations center. Explanations were also provided on the range of weapons and cutting-edge technology used by the Special Forces for their diverse missions. The visit concluded with a simulation exercise, demonstrating the special forces’ response to complex and urgent security scenarios. The drill, which included the use of police helicopters, underscored the unit’s readiness to manage urgent security crises. The Director General of National Security (DGSN) and Territorial Surveillance (DGST) holds talks with the Director of the Criminal Security Sector of the General Command of the Abu Dhabi Police Comprehensive Security Partnership: Developing Police Human Resources and Strengthening Operational Cooperation The Director General of National Security and Territorial Surveillance’s visit to the General Command of Abu Dhabi Police featured the signing of a joint memorandum of understanding aimed at deepening institutional cooperation. This partnership is focused on enhancing capabilities in joint areas, fostering professional development through specialized training programs, workshops, and joint conferences to facilitate the exchange of expertise. During this visit, bilateral discussions were held with the head of the UAE Intelligence Services, covering matters related to intelligence cooperation.
