Moroccan FM Speaks with Delegation of U.S. Senators
Morocco’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates, Nasser Bourita, held talks in Rabat on Monday with a delegation of US senators, currently visiting the Kingdom. In a statement to the media following these talks, Senator Jerry Moran (R-Kansas) highlighted the leadership of HM King Mohammed VI, underscoring the important role Morocco plays in promoting peace in the region and the world. “It is very important for the United States to have the closest ties and the best relations” with Morocco, said the American official, calling the Kingdom a “provider” of stability and peace in the world. Senator Moran also expressed his country’s “gratitude” for “the way Morocco operates in the world” in search of “consensus in bringing people together.” He also called for closer cooperation ties with the Kingdom in order to “bring the kind of stability in Morocco into the rest of the world, particularly in Africa.”
