Antigua and Barbuda Hails Royal Initiatives on Sahel and Atlantic for Prosperous, Stable Africa
Antigua and Barbuda welcomed, Monday in Rabat, the Royal Initiatives on the Sahel and the Atlantic for a prosperous and stable Africa. In a Joint Communiqué issued following talks between the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates, Nasser Bourita, and his Antigua and Barbuda’s counterpart, Everly Paul Chet Greene, Antigua and Barbuda welcomed the Royal Initiatives on the Sahel and the Atlantic for a prosperous and stable Africa. Antigua and Barbuda highly valued the Royal Atlantic Initiative launched in 2022 within the framework of the Rabat Process on the African Atlantic States, which aims to promote peace, stability and shared prosperity in the African Atlantic region, as well as HM King Mohammed VI’s Initiative aimed at facilitating the access of the Sahel countries to the Atlantic Ocean. Highlighting the Kingdom’s commitment, driven by the enlightened vision of HM King Mohammed VI to foster a regional cooperation that benefits sub-Saharan Africa, Chet Greene stressed the importance of these Strategic Initiatives which offer unprecedented opportunities to promote regional integration and economic emergence.
