President Macron, His Spouse Visit Mohammed V Mausoleum
The President of the French Republic, H.E.M. Emmanuel Macron, and his spouse Brigitte Macron, visited the Mohammed V mausoleum in Rabat on Tuesday, where they paid their respects at the graves of the late Sovereigns; the late HM King Mohammed V and the late HM King Hassan II. Upon their arrival at the mausoleum, the French Head of State and his spouse were greeted by the mausoleum’s curator, Colonel Major Hassan Charif Skalli, before reviewing a guard of honor from the Royal Guard. After laying a wreath of flowers on the graves of the two late Sovereigns, the French President and Brigitte Macron observed a minute’s silence for the repose of their souls. The French President and Brigitte Macron were then briefed on the authentic architectural character of this civilizational monument, before signing the mausoleum’s visitors’ book. Macron then received a book on the history of the building, as well as the Mohammed V mausoleum crest. President Macron and his spouse were accompanied by members of the honorary committee, namely the Minister of National Land Planning, Urban Development, Housing and Urban Policy, Fatima Ezzahra El Mansouri, and HM the King’s Ambassador to Paris, Samira Sitail, as well as the French Ambassador in Rabat, Christophe Lecourtier. The President of the French Republic, H.E.M. Emmanuel Macron, and his spouse Brigitte Macron arrived in Rabat late Monday afternoon for a state visit to the Kingdom of Morocco, at the invitation of His Majesty King Mohammed VI.
