FAR Inspector General Holds Talks with Ghanian Chief of Defense Staff
Rabat – Upon instructions of His Majesty the King, Supreme Commander and Chief of General Staff of the Royal Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Mohammed Berrid, Inspector General of the Royal Armed Forces and Commander of the South Zone, received Lieutenant General William Agyapong, Chief of the Defense Staff of Ghana, Tuesday at the headquarters of General Staff of the Royal Armed Forces. Lieutenant General Agyapong is on a working visit to the Kingdom from September 28 to October 3.
The Chief of the Defense Staff of Ghana emphasized the importance of the visit made to Ghana in 2017 by His Majesty King Mohammed VI, which laid the foundations for constructive and supportive cooperation between the two countries. He added that the two Heads of State share the same values of peace, African solidarity, and mutual respect, according to a statement from the FAR General Staff. During the meeting, attended by Ghana’s ambassador to Rabat, Ghana’s Chief of the Defense Staff expressed his utter satisfaction with the exemplary ties between Morocco and Ghana, qualifying the visit of a key milestone to facilitate strengthening military cooperation between both countries’ armed forces. The two officials agreed to promote cooperation between the Royal Armed Forces and the Ghana Armed Forces, with a focus on exploring means to strengthen and expend this partnership, the statement concludes.
