El Guerguarat: Japan Insists on Importance of Ensuring Free Movement of People and Goods in Sahara

Japan stressed the importance of ensuring the free movement of people and goods in the El Guerguarat area and of seeing the parties concerned show restraint and continue their efforts in order to ease tensions. 

Japan also reiterated the wish to see this dispute quickly lead to a peaceful solution on the basis of dialogue between the parties concerned, said the Japanese Embassy in Rabat in a verbal note to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African cooperation and Moroccans Abroad.

Japan supports the efforts by the United Nations, including within the framework of MINURSO missions, the same source added.
