Cape Verde to Open Consulate General in Dakhla – FM –
Cape Verde will soon open a Consulate General in the city of Dakhla, said Cape Verdean Minister of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation and Regional Integration, Rui Alberto De Figueiredo Soares, Wednesday in Rabat. De Figueiredo Soares also announced the imminent establishment of a resident Embassy of the Republic of Cape Verde in Rabat, in a joint statement issued following his talks with Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans abroad, Nasser Bourita, on the sidelines of the works of the 1st Ministerial Conference of the Atlantic African States. Welcoming this decision, Bourita thanked the Cape Verdean side for its support for the Moroccanness of the Sahara and recalled Cape Verde’s commendable participation, at the level of its Ambassador in Dakar, in the African Ministerial Conference on the African Union’s support to the United Nations political process on the regional dispute over the Sahara, held in Marrakech on March 25, 2019.
