Royal Speech Confirms Morocco’s Role as “Regional Stability Provider” – U.S Expert
HM King Mohammed VI’s Speech to the Nation on the occasion of the 24th anniversary of the accession of the Sovereign to the Throne of His glorious ancestors reflects Morocco’s role as a “regional stability provider” and leader in terms of diplomacy, innovation, and development, underlined Samuel Millner, a U.S expert. HM the King expressed His desire that things return to normality and that the borders between the two countries be opened, Millner told MAP, noting that Morocco displays a “measured and compassionate” approach toward a neighboring country. This expert in international politics also pointed out that HM the King, Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee, confirmed Morocco’s “full support” for the Palestinian cause and the establishment of an independent state with eastern Al-Quds as capital. Referring to the territorial integrity of the Kingdom, the former analyst at the Jewish Institute for National Security of America (JINSA), based in Washington, highlighted the growing international support for Morocco’s legitimate and historical rights over its Southern provinces, citing in this regard the recent decision of the State of Israel to recognize the sovereignty of the Kingdom over its Sahara. This state decision underscores a “strategic partnership” between the two countries, he said. It is also a dynamic that contributes to regional stability and security and which undermines the fallacious allegations by the armed separatist militia “the polisario”, according to Millner. The American expert also noted that the royal speech reflects Morocco’s role in the efforts aimed at strengthening cooperation between Africa and Europe, “two civilizations that have a lot to offer. Furthermore, he stated that the Kingdom is also establishing itself as a regional leader in terms of innovation, recalling the presentation of the prototype of a hydrogen car developed by a young Moroccan. This is an impressive feat, he said.
