OSCE PA Ad Hoc Committee on Migration Commends Kingdom’s Reforms

The Chair of the Ad Hoc Committee on Migration of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE PA), Daniela de Ridder, welcomed on Thursday in Rabat, the efforts and reforms undertaken by Morocco in the field of migration. Currently visiting Morocco accompanied by a large delegation, De Ridder held talks with 1st vice-president of the House of Representatives, Mohamed Sabbari, said a statement by the House of Representatives. During this meeting, De Ridder stressed that the Kingdom has become a model in the field of migration, calling for the strengthening of cooperation and the exchange of expertise and experiences between the Committee and Morocco. The meeting was an opportunity for the vice-president to inform the members of the Committee on the migration and asylum policy that Morocco has been undertaking since 2013 pursuant to the High Directives of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, and which is based on respect for the rights and dignity of migrants by integrating them and granting them all the rights like Moroccan citizens, according to the same source.
