Morocco is standing out as a strategic partner at the international level, stressed the Italian MP, Marco Di Maio, welcoming the uninterrupted opening of the Allenby border crossing linking the West Bank and Jordan, thanks to the direct mediation of the Kingdom, under the leadership of HM King Mohammed VI. “The strengthening of relations between Morocco and Israel continues to contribute to peace in the region,” said the coordinator of the Italian parliamentary intergroup in support of the autonomy plan in the Moroccan Sahara, in a statement, highlighting “the effective diplomatic efforts” of the Kingdom, which is also a “privileged and indispensable partner for Italy and Europe”. The mediation, conducted by the Kingdom and the United States of America, has led to an agreement for the permanent opening 24/7 of this passage, which is the only way out of the Palestinians to the world. The opening of this border crossing, located about 50 km from the capital Amman, will be effective soon when the logistical conditions are met, especially in terms of human resources.
