Pres. of Bahraini Council of Representatives Reiterates his Country’s Support for Morocco’s Sovereignty over its Southern Provinces

President of the Bahraini Council of Representatives, Ahmed Salman Al Musallam, reiterated his country’s position supporting the sovereignty of the Kingdom of Morocco over its southern provinces, as well as its security and stability. During an audience granted on Sunday to Mr. Khalid bin Salman Al Musallam, Bahrain’s ambassador to Morocco, the President of the Council of Representatives recalled the opening by his country of a consulate in the city of Laayoune, reports the Bahraini News Agency. He also highlighted the depth and strength of fraternal relations between the two kingdoms, emphasizing the common desire to consolidate the process of bilateral cooperation in its entirety, especially in the parliamentary and economic fields, and to open wider opportunities “to serve the interests of both countries and the two brotherly peoples.” The distinguished relations and multiple partnerships uniting the two brotherly countries have been strengthened and further developed under the wise leadership of the Sovereigns of the two countries, His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His brother His Majesty King Mohammed VI, said Ahmed Salman Al Musallam. He also praised the efforts of Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, chairman of the Council of Ministers, to strengthen bilateral cooperation in the various fields and sectors of development and to continue cooperation and coordination in the service of the common interests of the two countries and the two peoples.
