Lieutenant General, Inspector General of FAR and Commander of South Zone Receives Chief of General Staff of Beninese Armed Forces
On the High Instructions of His Majesty the King, Supreme Commander and Chief of General Staff of the Royal Armed Forces, the Lieutenant General, Inspector General of FAR and Commander of the South Zone, received on Tuesday at the General Staff of FAR in Rabat, Brigadier General Fructueux Gbaguidi, Chief of General Staff of the Beninese armed forces. The discussions between the two officials, which took place in the presence of Chiefs of the relevant offices of FAR General Staff, focused on bilateral cooperation between the Royal Armed Forces and the Beninese Armed Forces, said a statement by the General Staff of FAR. On this occasion, the Inspector General of FAR and the Chief of General Staff of the Beninese Armed Forces welcomed the ties of friendship, active solidarity and mutual trust that bind the Kingdom of Morocco and the Republic of Benin. Initiated in the 1990s, military cooperation between the two armies is mainly focused on the training of Beninese military personnel in FAR schools and training centers, both for initial and continuing training and for higher military education. In this regard, the two officials expressed their satisfaction with the expansion of military cooperation to other areas and they reiterated their willingness to continue to work to further promote this bilateral cooperation.
