Morocco’s Higher Education Minister Meets Israeli Minister of Innovation, Science and Technology

Minister of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Innovation Abdellatif Miraoui held talks, on Tuesday in Rabat, with the Israeli Minister of Innovation, Science and Technology Ofir Akunis, accompanied by an Israeli delegation of senior ministry officials. During the meeting, the two officials discussed ways and means of strengthening bilateral relations in the fields of scientific research and innovation, according to a statement by the Ministry of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Innovation. The visit also provided an opportunity for the two parties to discuss ways of developing partnerships between the two countries’ universities and research structures, with priority being given to student and teacher-researcher mobility, as well as participation in joint research projects on themes of common interest, added the statement. A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the two ministries on May 26, 2022 in Rabat, with the aim of strengthening bilateral cooperation in the fields of innovation, scientific research and technology, the same source said.
