The managing director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Kristalina Georgieva, expressed her gratitude to His Majesty King Mohammed VI for the warm welcome extended to participants at the Annual Meetings of the World Bank (WB) Group and the IMF, being held from October 09 to 15 in Marrakech. “It is a great honor to be received by His Majesty the King. This audience was also an “opportunity to show our solidarity with Morocco, particularly after the earthquake of September 8”, added Georgieva. HM King Mohammed VI presided over the opening of the first session of the 3rd legislative year of the 11th Parliament in Rabat on Friday afternoon, during which the Sovereign delivered a speech to the members of both Houses of Parliament, in the presence of the president of the World Bank and the managing director of the International Monetary Fund.
