Spain’s King Felipe VI Highlights Morocco’s ‘High Potential Economic Sectors’

King Felipe VI of Spain underlined, Monday in Bilbao, that Morocco has “economic sectors with high potential”, reiterating the “importance” of relations between the two Kingdoms. “Morocco is a country with high potential economic sectors”, King Felipe VI said in a speech delivered at the opening of the 26th National Congress of Family Business, held on October 23-24 with Morocco as guest of honor. On this occasion, the Spanish Sovereign highlighted the “presence of many leading Spanish companies in Morocco”. In front of representatives of around 600 family businesses, King Felipe VI noted that the participation of Moroccan businessmen in this meeting “can help better understand the importance of relations with our neighboring country, Morocco”. The Spanish Sovereign also seized this opportunity to reiterate Spain’s “solidarity” with Morocco after the earthquake that struck Al Haouz province on September 8. Organized by the Family Business Institute (IEF), in collaboration with the Basque Country Family Business Association (Aefame), this two-day meeting has become the most important business forum in Spain. The second day of this event will be marked by the organization of a round table themed “Family business: the driving force of Morocco”.
