Morocco trusts the wisdom of the Gabonese nation, its vibrant forces, and national institutions to move towards a perspective that allows acting in the best interests of the country, preserving the achievements made, and meeting the aspirations of the Gabonese people, stressed the Moroccan diplomat. “Our delegation recommends, through this august Council, that the PSC, the decision-making body for conflict management and resolution, supports Gabon’s efforts for a successful transition. We must collectively commit to facilitating a quick and effective response to this situation that will enable Gabon to return to its natural place within the AU,” insisted the Moroccan diplomat. Regarding Niger, the Moroccan diplomat reaffirmed that since the outbreak of the situation in the Republic of Niger, Morocco has been closely following the unfolding events and emphasizes the importance of maintaining the stability of this sister country. Morocco trusts the wisdom of the people and the vibrant forces of Niger to preserve the achievements, maintain its important constructive regional role, and work towards realizing the aspirations of its brotherly people. Niger remains a key player on the regional, continental, and international stage. Its stability, prosperity, and development are assets for our continent through which the region’s problems can be resolved, Arrouchi, who leads the Moroccan delegation at this meeting, emphasized. “Our delegation calls for considering the situation in Niger with great wisdom and avoiding divisions that ultimately go against the interests of the Nigerien people,” Arrouchi reaffirmed. The Kingdom, the Moroccan diplomat continued, calls for supporting peace, security, and development efforts in Gabon and Niger, as well as providing the necessary support to all countries in transition to address the numerous challenges they face and restore peace and stability in all these brotherly countries. “In this regard, our delegation emphasizes that accompanying all these countries towards a political solution should be guided by an assessment of their specific vital needs. This implies a holistic and multidimensional approach that takes into account the dimensions of peace, security, and development to establish a solid foundation for a successful transition and a sustainable political solution,” reiterated the Moroccan diplomat.
