Chad to Seize Opportunity Offered by HM the King’s Initiative to Promote Access to Atlantic Ocean for Sahel States – Gov’t Spokesman –
Chad will seize HM King Mohammed VI’s initiative to promote access by Sahel States to the Atlantic Ocean, so as to be able to trade more effectively with the rest of the world, and particularly with the Kingdom, said Chad’s Minister of Communication and Government Spokesman, Aziz Mahamat Saleh. Through this initiative of His Majesty the King, Chad, which has historical, long-standing, very old and very important relations, must be at the forefront, stressed the Chadian Minister in a speech at a friendly luncheon held Thursday in honor of the local press by the Moroccan Ambassador in N’Djamena, Abdellatif Erroja. “More than ever in this context of unrest, more than ever in this context where routes to the sea are closing in Chad, the government will seize this opportunity of the open route to the Atlantic Ocean through Morocco to be able to trade better with the rest of the World and particularly with the Kingdom,” added the Minister whose remarks were reported by Chadian national TV. For his part, the Moroccan Ambassador to Chad emphasized that this friendly luncheon in honor of the local press was an opportunity to highlight the Kingdom of Morocco’s development dynamic, reflected in structuring initiatives and projects in bilateral and multilateral cooperation. In his speech on the occasion of the 48th anniversary of the Glorious Green March, HM King Mohammed VI proposed the launch of an international initiative to promote access to the Atlantic Ocean for the Sahel States.
