Morocco-UAE Partnership, ‘Source of Admiration & Inspiration’ for Region’s Countries – PSOE Member –

The Declaration signed by His Majesty King Mohammed VI and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, President of the State of the United Arab Emirates, constitutes a “source of admiration and inspiration” for all the region’s countries wishing to build “strategic partnerships”, member of the Spanish Socialist Workers’ Party (PSOE), Juan Segovia, said on Wednesday. ”This Declaration and the memoranda signed as part of HM the King’s visit to the United Arab Emirates are of strategic importance and encompass vital aspects and sectors to guarantee sustainable development in several areas,” Segovia told MAP. ”The exceptional and singular character of the memoranda and their multidimensional scope gives this Atlantic-oriented partnership particular importance and richness, particularly with regard to the value and scale of the infrastructure projects concerned by the agreements, more particularly Nador West Med and the Atlantic port of Dakhla in the Moroccan Sahara,” Segovia, former socialist regional deputy and Secretary General of the Socialist Rally of Fuencarral. ”This innovative partnership embodies the strategic vision of Morocco, a country which is moving forward by leaps and bounds, to build future-oriented alliances and consolidate the Kingdom’s foreign policy,” Segovia underlined. ”Morocco enjoys an excellent reputation on the international stage. This is evidenced by the quality of its relations with the United States, Europe, in particular Spain, all African countries and the Middle East, which makes it a key country in terms of foreign policy”, he added.
