Lower House Speaker Represents HM the King at Newly Elected Argentine President’s Investiture Ceremony
House of Representatives’ Speaker Rachid Talbi El Alami represented HM King Mohammed VI at the investiture ceremony of the new Argentine President, Javier Milei, which took place on Sunday in Buenos Aires. The official investiture ceremony of Javier Milei took place at the headquarters of the Argentine Congress, in the presence of King Felipe VI of Spain, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, and numerous heads of state from the region, including Chile’s Gabriel Boric, Uruguay’s Luis Lacalle Pou, Ecuador’s Daniel Noboa, Paraguay’s Santiago Pena and former Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro, as well as delegations representing several countries from around the world. In a statement to MAP, Talbi El Alami said that during the ceremony, he conveyed to Milei the greetings and congratulations of HM the King on the occasion of his election to the presidency of the Argentine Republic, underlining the Kingdom of Morocco’s readiness to advance the excellent relations between Rabat and Buenos Aires in various fields. The Speaker of the House of Representatives was accompanied by Morocco’s Ambassador to Argentina, Fares Yassir. HM King Mohammed VI had sent a message of congratulations to Javier Milei in which the Sovereign expressed his delight at the close and privileged relations between the Kingdom of Morocco and the Republic of Argentina, which are based on solid friendship and mutual appreciation, expressing His determination to work together with Javier Milei to deepen bilateral cooperation and develop it in the various fields of common interest, in the service of the two friendly peoples.
