Senegalese President Receives Morocco’s Lower House Speaker

Senegalese President Macky Sall on Wednesday welcomed Morocco’s House of Representatives Speaker Rachid Talbi El Alami, currently on a working visit to Senegal, at the Presidential Palace in Dakar. The high-profile meeting, attended by Senegal’s National Assembly Speaker Amadou Mame Diop and Moroccan Ambassador Hassan Naciri, highlighted the robust and enduring diplomatic ties between Morocco and Senegal. In a press statement, Talbi El Alami commended the strong relationship between the two nations, crediting the enlightened leadership of HM King Mohammed VI and President Macky Sall. Accompanied by a distinguished delegation, Talbi El Alami’s visit culminated in honors, with President Macky Sall awarding him the Commander of the National Order of the Lion Medal. Other members of the delegation were also recognized and elevated to the rank of officers in the National Order of the Lion. This significant visit was marked by the signing of a pivotal parliamentary cooperation protocol between the Moroccan House of Representatives and the Senegalese National Assembly, solidifying the commitment to enhanced collaboration between the two nations.
