Lower House Speaker on Working Visit to Mauritania

An important parliamentary delegation led by the House of Representatives Speaker, Rachid Talbi Alami, is paying a working visit to Nouakchott on February 09-10, at the invitation of the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania, Mohamed Bamba Meguett. The working visit aims to strengthen cooperation between the two legislative institutions, intensify coordination and exchange of parliamentary experience, and discuss issues of common interest, according to a press release by the Lower House. The delegation will hold meetings focusing on parliamentary issues at bilateral and multilateral levels, in particular with the Mauritanian National Assembly Speaker, as well as with the Prime Minister and members of the government of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania.
