Spanish PM Expresses Gratitude to Morocco for Supporting Valencia Flood Relief

Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez expressed his gratitude on Friday to Morocco for its support in relief operations following devastating floods in the Valencia region. Sánchez highlighted the efforts of rescue teams from Morocco, Portugal and France, emphasizing their critical role in aiding affected areas. “In these challenging weeks that Spain experienced due to the storm, international and European solidarity has been remarkable”, the Spanish leader stressed in a message on social platform X. “All of Spain thanks you”, he added.  In the wake of the floods, HM King Mohammed VI has given His Very High Instructions to the Interior Minister to hold a phone call with his Spanish peer and inform him of Morocco’s full readiness to dispatch rescue teams and provide all necessary assistance to Spain to deal with this natural disaster. An exceptional Moroccan convoy, comprising 24 vacuum-pump trucks and 70 operators, arrived in Spain on Wednesday to assist with relief efforts in the Valencia region, which was severely impacted by Storm Dana.
