Government Council to Convene on Thursday
A government council, chaired by Head of Government Aziz Akhannouch, is scheduled for Thursday, according to a statement from his office. At the start of its proceedings, the Council will examine seven draft decrees, the first concerning the status of civil servants at the General Delegation for Prison Administration and Rehabilitation (DGAPR), the second creating the regional delegation for Tourism, Crafts, Social and Solidarity Economy, Youth, Culture and Communication, and determining the delegation’s functions and structure. The third draft covers the creation of the Regional Delegation for Trade, Industrial and Extractive Production and Economic Integration, defining its functions and structure, while the fourth concerns the creation of the Regional Delegation for Equipment, Water, Transport and Logistics, defining its functions and structure. Concerning the fifth draft decree, it amends and supplements the decree establishing the list of administrative decisions required for the implementation of investment projects, with an application processing time limit of 30 days. The sixth draft decree amends and supplements the decree establishing the list of administrative decisions which processing requires the extension of the legal time limit for their issuance in order to conduct a technical assessment or a public inquiry. As for the final draft decree, it amends and supplements the decree establishing the list of administrative acts, for which the administration’s silence means agreement, once the deadline for processing requests has expired. The Council will conclude its proceedings by examining proposals for appointments to higher positions, in accordance with Article 92 of the Constitution, the statement concluded.
