Under the agreement, ICESCO and the UNFPA office in Morocco will work together to conduct advocacy on public policies that affect women, girls and youth, promote the rights of women and girls through innovative initiatives as well as South-South cooperation, UNFPA said Monday in a statement. The actions that UNFPA and ICESCO will carry out jointly in Morocco also aim to promote women’s leadership and strengthen the access of vulnerable populations to information, services and opportunities, the same source added. They are also meant to support digitization, capitalize on the expertise of both organizations regarding the empowerment of vulnerable women and girls, and strengthen scientific research in this area.
