The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rachid Talbi Alami, discussed on Thursday in Rabat, with the Ambassador of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in Morocco, Dang Thi Thu Ha, several bilateral, regional, and international questions of common parliamentary interest. Dang Thi Thu Ha emphasized the development of parliamentary relations between the two countries in recent years, which were crowned by the signing in 2017 of the partnership agreement between the Moroccan House of Representatives and the National Assembly of Vietnam, as well as the ascension of the House of Representatives to the Parliamentary Assembly of Southeast Asian Nations in 2020 as an observer member, said a statement from the Upper House. She recalled that Morocco and Vietnam, two countries linked by secular relations, celebrate this year the 60th anniversary of the establishment of their diplomatic relations. For his part, Talbi Alami recalled the achievements of the House of Representatives over the past decade, enabling it to occupy a place of choice in many continental, regional and international parliamentary bodies and organizations. Rabat and Hanoi share a common history and rooted experiences that must be further developed for the benefit of both countries, he said, noting that the House of Representatives is open to all initiatives to support its relations with the National Assembly of Vietnam.
