UK PM’s Trade Envoy Highlights Morocco’s New Development Model, Economy Greening

The UK Prime Minister’s Special Envoy for Trade in Morocco, Dr. Andrew Murrison highlighted, during a visit to Morocco, the Kingdom’s New Development Model and the greening process of the two countries’ economies. “Obviously, what we are interested in is the New Development Model and the greening of of both our economies,” he said during a garden reception organized at the British embassy in Rabat. In this regard, the British envoy revealed that “one of the discussions I have been having, and will continue to, is to see what we can do more between our two kingdoms and, in particular, to promote our green economies.” Murrison specified that the purpose of his visit is to talk to ministerial interlocutors, among others, “to further the aims of aspirations set out in association agreements” he had signed with Morocco’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans Abroad, Nasser Bourita back in 2019. He also hailed the upward trend of trade between the two kingdoms, adding that “there is much more to be done.” Furthermore, Murrison expressed his enthusiasm about the prospects for the future. “It’s really a great time to be doing this work and I’m really enthusiastic about what the future holds.”
