Algerian Regime’s Lies Becoming Doctrine, Chronic Mania – Journalist
The Algerian regime’s lies and anti-Morocco press are so frequent that they have become a doctrine and a chronic mania, says journalist Talaâ Saoud Al Atlassi. In an op-ed published on Thursday on Machahid 24, a Moroccan online news outlet, the journalist notes that “the press under the orders of the Algerian regime does not cease to make a fool of itself in its obsessive reference to Morocco so much so that the Kingdom is omnipresent in all the subjects treated.” In this regard, the Moroccan columnist cites Algerian media’s recent nonsensical elucubrations evoking a “Moroccan conspiracy” at the origin of the humiliating elimination of the Algerian soccer team from the finals of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar; a fabricated lie that escapes even the fertile imagination of a detective story writer. And for good reason, Morocco is always seen as an enemy on the lookout by the Algerian press which, in execution of the orders of the Algerian generals, accuses it of all the evils, accusing it of being the cause of the disappointments of Algeria, its failures and its blunders”, he notes in an ironic tone. The journalist further mocked Algeria’s allegations accusing the Moroccan secret services of spying on Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez and Defense Minister Margarita Robles via the Pegasus software. In this respect, he pointed out that the Minister of the Spanish presidency, Felix Bolanos has made, in revealing this case, no reference to Morocco, reporting only wiretapping without judicial authorization, which implies that it would be an ”internal operation” which should be framed by law. But the Algerian press, in defiance of the most basic principles of ethics, is of another opinion, mentioning a new scandal in the relations of Morocco with Spain. Talaâ Saoud Al Atlassi notes, meanwhile, that during this time, Morocco deploys considerable and conclusive security and intelligence efforts in the fight against terrorism and cross-border crime, thus providing a decisive support to the international community. He also stresses that the security policies conducted in Morocco are closely linked to the vast national reform project, which strengthens Moroccan diplomacy and represents a factor of stability and security necessary for any social life, he believes, adding that the delirium of the media in the pay of the Algerian regime is irrelevant.
