Head of Government Speaks with Ivorian PM
Head of Government Aziz Akhannouch met, on Monday in Abidjan, with Ivorian Prime Minister Patrick Achi. The meeting between the two sides took place on the sidelines of the Africa CEO Forum summit being held on June 5 and 6 in Abidjan, with the participation of a large Moroccan delegation led by Akhannouch. The Head of Government underlined that this important meeting with Prime Minister Patrick Achi allowed highlighting the excellent relations between HM King Mohammed VI and His Excellency President Alassane Ouattara. Emphasis was also placed on the numerous projects launched in Côte d’Ivoire by the Sovereign and on the interest shown in ensuring that these projects are carried out on schedule and in strict compliance with the required standards. The talks also focused on how Côte d’Ivoire could benefit from Morocco’s experience in the agricultural sector, in particular the “Green Morocco” plan and the current “Green Generation” strategy, Akhannouch added. In this regard, Akhannouch indicated that the Ivorian Prime Minister intends to visit Morocco soon to meet with Moroccan investors and learn about their expertise in various sectors, thus giving a new impetus to the cooperation relations between Morocco and Côte d’Ivoire. The Africa CEO Forum, a major annual private sector event in Africa, will this year bring together more than 1,800 African and international heads of companies and public decision-makers around the theme “Succeeding despite crises – From 300 to 3,000: how to accelerate the emergence of the next generation of African champions.”
