Lower House Speaker Represents HM the King at Inauguration Ceremony of New Chilean President

Santiago – The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rachid Talbi El Alami, represented His Majesty King Mohammed VI at the inauguration ceremony of the new Chilean president, José Antonio Kast, held on Wednesday.

The official inauguration ceremony of Kast took place at the headquarters of the Chilean Congress in the city of Valparaíso, in the presence of Spain’s King Felipe VI and several heads of state from the region, including Argentina’s Javier Milei, Bolivia’s Rodrigo Paz, Ecuador’s Daniel Noboa, and Paraguay’s Santiago Peña, as well as delegations representing several other countries around the world. The Speaker of the House of Representatives was accompanied at the ceremony by Morocco’s Ambassador to Chile, Kenza El Ghali. His Majesty King Mohammed VI had previously sent a message of congratulations to Kast, in which the Sovereign expressed His warmest congratulations to the new president and wished him every success in his noble mission of leading the friendly Chilean people toward achieving their aspirations for greater progress and prosperity.
