Guinea Commends Morocco’s Constant Efforts, under HM the King’s Enlightened Leadership, to Promote Peace and Development in Africa – Joint Statement –
The Republic of Guinea hailed, on Monday in Dakhla, the constant efforts made by the Kingdom of Morocco, under the wise and enlightened leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, to promote peace and development in Africa. In a joint statement issued at the end of the 7th session of the Morocco-Guinea Joint Cooperation Commission, co-chaired by Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates, Nasser Bourita, and Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Integration and Guineans Living Abroad, Morissanda Kouyaté, the two parties stressed that the Kingdom of Morocco and the Republic of Guinea share a common willingness to contribute to the preservation of peace and stability on the African continent. The two ministers praised the constant efforts made by the Kingdom of Morocco, under the wise and enlightened leadership of HM King Mohammed VI, and of His Excellency Colonel Mamadi Doumbouya, President of the Transition, Chairman of the National Committee of Reconciliation and Development (CNRD), Head of State, Supreme Chief of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Guinea, in favor of peace and development on the Continent. They reaffirmed their Heads of State’s commitment to working together in the search for lasting peace and economic development on the African continent, particularly in the context of the implementation of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA). The two parties also noted with satisfaction their convergence of views on various regional and international issues of common interest, while reiterating their determination to take part in efforts to settle disputes in Africa, the statement underlined.
