Morocco’s Major Reforms under HM the King’s Leadership Highly Praised by International Actors – Akhannouch
The significant reforms initiated by Morocco over the past two decades under the leadership of HM King Mohammed VI are highly praised by international actors, stated Head of Government Aziz Akhannouch on Monday in Marrakech. The future prospects demonstrate that the Kingdom, under the leadership of His Majesty the King, is on the right path, Akhannouch said in a statement to the press on the sidelines of the start of the Annual Meetings of the World Bank Group (WB) and the International Monetary Fund (IMF). He emphasized the government’s determination to implement the Royal Vision. The Prime Minister also noted that the book “Morocco in Search of Stronger and More Inclusive Growth,” prepared by the IMF, presents very important ideas and highly constructive criticism of the policies adopted by the Kingdom in recent years, as well as prospects for the future. Furthermore, he stated that his meetings with the Managing Director of the IMF, Kristalina Georgieva, and the President of the World Bank Group, Ajay Banga, provided an ideal opportunity to discuss Morocco’s remarkable experience in managing the effects of the Al-Haouz earthquake. In this regard, he pointed out that these meetings were also an opportunity to focus on numerous prospects in various fields, such as renewable energy, tourism, and the issue of water, to which the Kingdom has dedicated significant investments.
