Lower House Speaker, Azerbaijan’s FM Discuss Role of Parliamentary Institutions in Strengthening Dialogue
Under the leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Morocco is “an opportunity for Europe and for France,” said the Ambassador of the French Republic in Rabat, Christophe Lecourtier, who highlighted the Kingdom’s “remarkable” economic path. During their talks, Talbi Alami and Bayramov highlighted the quality of relations between the two countries, “based on mutual respect for sovereignty and territorial integrity, and constant support in various regional and international forums,” said the Lower House in a press release. In this respect, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, on an official visit to Morocco on the occasion of the 2nd session of the Morocco-Azerbaijan Joint Commission, reaffirmed his country’s constant and firm position supporting the Kingdom’s territorial integrity and Morocco’s sovereignty over its entire national territory. For his part, Talbi Alami expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Republic of Azerbaijan for its constant support for Morocco’s sovereignty over all its territory, the same source added. In addition, the two parties stressed the central role of bilateral and multilateral parliamentary relations in consolidating relations between the two countries at all levels, particularly in the economic, trade and business fields, noting that these relations have been strengthened in recent years through mutual visits, and the development of links of communication, cooperation, exchange of experience and expertise between the two parliamentary institutions, as well as coordination in areas of common parliamentary interest, the press release added. The meeting, which took place in the presence of the Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Morocco, Nazim Adil Oglu Samadov, was also an opportunity to exchange views on various priority subjects on the agenda of bilateral and multilateral parliamentary relations, the same source said.
