Morocco’s Efforts Recognized in Preparing for Upcoming Arab-Russian Forum
In a meeting held on Monday in Cairo, Morocco’s dedicated efforts to organize and ensure the success of the upcoming Arab-Russian Forum, scheduled for December 20th in Marrakech, were commended by the Permanent Representatives of the Arab League. During the coordination meeting for the forum, the Permanent Representatives expressed their optimism that the Marrakech gathering would serve as a significant opportunity to enhance Arab-Russian cooperation on a broader scale. Discussions at the meeting focused on the ongoing preparations for the 6th Arab-Russian Forum, including the draft of the final communiqué and the action plan expected to be adopted during the session. Khaled Minzlawi, Deputy Secretary-General of the Arab League for International Political Affairs, highlighted the forum’s primary goal of strengthening partnership ties between Arab nations and Russia. He underscored that the forum, initiated in 2013 under a memorandum of cooperation signed in 2009 between the Russian Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Secretary-General of the Arab League, plays a crucial role in fostering diplomatic relations and collaboration between the two regions.
