Burkina Faso to Open a Consulate in Dakhla

Burkina Faso has decided to open a Consulate General in Dakhla to ensure “better protection of the interests of Burkina Faso and its nationals in the Moroccan southern region of Dakhla-Oued Eddahab”, it was officially announced in Ouagadougou.

This decision, which is likely to again irritate the leadership of the Polisario and the Algerian government, was adopted during a Council of Ministers, held under the chairmanship of President Roch Marc Christian Kaboré.
