Rabat – The situation in Guerguarate is calm and normal, authorized sources said Sunday morning, adding that road traffic between Morocco and Mauritania, and beyond to sub-Saharan Africa, “is not disrupted in any way”.

In accordance with the Very High Instructions of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Supreme Commander and Chief of General Staff of the Royal Armed Forces (FAR), the passage of Guergarate was secured by the FAR, said the same sources, recalling that since November 2020, the “Polisario” militias have carried out provocative actions in a desperate reaction to this securing of the passage.
