ICESCO Provides Strong Support for Education System in Morocco – Director General –
The Organization of the Islamic World for Education, Science and Culture (ICESCO) provides strong support for the education system in Morocco and its member states, underlined Saturday in Dakhla its Director General, Salem Ben Mohamed El Malek.
Speaking at a ceremony for the presentation of a donation of electronic tablets from ICESCO for the benefit of graduates of schools in the region of Dakhla-Oued Eddahab, El Malek emphasized the dynamic witnessed by the Moroccan education system and forward-looking projects and programs in this area, while welcoming the strategic and insightful vision of HM King Mohammed VI in this field.
The Director General of ICESCO also highlighted the efforts made by the Ministry of National Education, Vocational Training, Higher Education and Scientific Research, in order to ensure pedagogical continuity during this situation marked by the fight against the new Coronavirus.
He further noted that ICESCO continues to support innovative curricula and educational models that reflect a new concept of global education, especially as the Organization is striving to facilitate the generalization of these new techniques at the level of the different member states.
As part of its new strategy and vision, he went on, the ICESCO expresses its commitment to supporting the efforts of the Kingdom of Morocco and all other Member States to ensure the continuity of the educational process and support it in the face of the multiple challenges that threaten the right of future generations to education and development.
He also said the pandemic has given birth to a new educational experience, emphasizing the era of the digital school connected to innovations linked to artificial intelligence.
This donation benefited notably 15 students with disabilities as well as students from Mauritania and Côte d’Ivoire who continue their studies in the region of Dakhla-Oued Eddahab.
