Upper House Speaker on Working Visit to Mauritania on July 15-19

The Speaker of the House of Advisors (Upper House) Naama Mayara will pay a working visit to the Islamic Republic of Mauritania on July 15-19 at the invitation of the Speaker of the Mauritanian National Assembly, Cheikh Ould Bayeh. This visit comes within the framework of strengthening the solid fraternal ties between the two countries and promoting the distinguished momentum marking the Morocco-Mauritania relations under the leadership of HM King Mohammed VI and His Excellency Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, President of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania, through a clear-sighted forward-looking vision to serve the interests of the two brotherly countries, a statement of the House of Advisors said. The visit aims to consolidate institutional and parliamentary cooperation between the House of Advisors and the Mauritanian National Assembly, exchange views and strengthen coordination between the two parties, as well as examine ways to deepen bilateral relations to meet the various challenges that are imposed on the regional and international scene, including security, stability and sustainable development, according to the same source.
